Erin Eaton Named Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

   Erin Eaton has been named assistant women’s basketball coach at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.  Ms. Eaton comes to Pitt-Johnstown from Bethany (WV) College, where she was assistant women's basketball coach.

   In addition to serving under Head Coach Sasha Palmer , Ms. Eaton will serve as the Pitt Johnstown women’s cross country coach and the women’s golf coach.
 
   Ms. Eaton spent three seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA Division III Bethany where she was responsible for recruiting, strength and conditioning, and guard development.  In 2007-08, she helped lead Bethany to its best finish since 2004 with a 15-11 overall record, a six-game improvement from the previous season. Bethany finished third in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) regular season standings with a 10-4 mark.

   A graduate of Elmira (NY) College, Ms. Eaton was a three-year starter for the Soaring Eagles as point guard where she etched her name throughout the Elmira College record books.  Eaton currently stands third all-time in career assists and fifth all-time in career three-point field goals made.

   Ms. Eaton, a native of Sebring, Ohio, graduated summa cum laude from Elmira with a BA in childhood education, and completed her master’s degree in athletic coaching education from West Virginia University.
