Theory and Ear-Training 2
This course is a continuation of the materials learned in Theory/Ear-Training 1. New topics will include triads and their harmonic functions within a key, sight-singing, melodic and harmonic dictation, and beginning part-writing. Students will demonstrate learned knowledge through singing, keyboard playing and composition.
This course does assume the ability to read music. Completion of Theory/Ear-Training 1 with a grade of C or better, or, a satisfactory score on the theory diagnostic exam is a prerequisite for this course
