Theory and Ear-Training 1
This course introduces students to the basic materials of music. Students will be introduced to such topics as note/rest values, intervals, rhythm and meter, keys, scales and triads. Students will become familiar with how to notate these elements, both by sight and aural recognition. Concepts will be practiced through singing and writing. This course assumes no initial ability to read music.
