Weekday Campus Visits
Weekday Campus Visit
The Office of Admissions offers student guided tours throughout the week. With a few exceptions, tours are offered between 9am and 2pm Monday through Friday. In addition to the tour, you may also schedule some time with an admissions counselor who can answer any questions you may have. We want to ensure that a staff member and tour guide are available, so we ask that you call ahead to schedule your visit.

Admissions Interviews
An Admissions "Interview" is an informal meeting between an Admissions Counselor and the student and their family. These meetings are designed as a way for the families to ask questions and gather information about Pitt-Johnstown.
Some of the typical topics covered are:
| Application Process and Timeline | Campus Activities |
| Financial Aid and Scholarships | Campus Environment |
| Major Selection | Classroom Experience |
It sometimes helps to write out a few questions you'd like to ask beforehand. By coming in with a list of questions, you'll be able to get answers to the questions that are important to you. In fact, we encourage you to take notes to help you remember the information later on.
Guided Campus Tours
Meeting with a member of the Admissions Staff is a great way to gather information about the campus, but seeing the college first hand is what the campus visit is all about. The Admissions Office benefits from the efforts of a group of dedicated student tourguides. These are current Pitt-Johnstown students who volunteer their time to direct prospective students and their families around campus. These students are the real experts on campus. They live here, eat here, go to class here, and may only be a few years older than the student visitors. They are very often the single best source of campus information.
A typical campus tour will:
| Typically include 2 or 3 families | Take the families inside a Freshman Resident Hall |
| Be a walking tour of campus | Include a visit to a Sophomore level Resident Hall |
| Take about 50 minutes to complete | Point out upperclass housing options |
| Walk through all academic buildings on campus | Depart from and return to the Blackington Hall lobby |
| Point out student service offices on campus | Provide an informal forum for asking questions |
