Students can declare their area of Concentration (Management, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Marketing) when they successfully complete one of the options listed below. At this time the student will given a business code and be assigned an individual advisor for registration purposes. (Please note that our faculty are willing to advise you individually regardless of whether you are a Pre-Business major or have already declared your Concentration).
All students must have a C or better in the introductory course for the concentration they are declaring.
Option One: If you have a QPA of 2.7 or higher, have completed 23 or more credits and have passed Business Calculus (with a C or better), Accounting Principles (with a C or better), Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and the Principles course for the concentration you are declaring (with a C or better), you can declare.
Option Two: If you have a QPA of 2.0 or higher, have completed both Business Calculus and Accounting Principles with a C or better, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and completion of intended concentration core course (Principles of Finance, Business Information Systems, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing) with a C or better and two additional courses from the following: Introduction to Psychology, Statistics for Business/Economics or Introduction to Computer Programming & lab you can declare.
