The Forum brings back recent graduates of the business program to talk about their post-Pitt-Johnstown experiences in work and graduate school and how they feel students can best prepare for professional and management careers.
The Forum will begin with informal presentations from three business alums: Karl Diethrick, Missy Evanko, and Justin Fajbik. Each presenter will reflect upon his or her personal experiences as a working professional or graduate student and identify the skills and knowledge needed for success in the world of professional employment. A question-and-answer session will follow. Dinner will be served to all those attending.
Last year’s trio of alums have varied backgrounds and interests:
Missy Evanko, is a 2011 graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business concentrating in Marketing and Management. She also earned the International Studies Certificate in Business and studied abroad in Cannes, France. While attending UPJ, Missy was involved with Alpha Gamma Delta, the Programming Board, and the Academic Succes Center as a student tutor. Missy also completed three internships at CTC, MMC, and UMF. She is currently employed by the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute as a Research Accountant, helping to administer grants and contracts for UPCI faculty. Missy currently resides in the Pittsburgh area and plans to apply to graduate school for an MBA at Pitt.
Justin Fajbik, graduated from UPJ in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business concentrating in Management. While attending UPJ, Justin was a member of Delta Sigma Chi fraternity. From 2003-2007 he was employed as a Sales Representative for Frank B. Fuhrer Wholesale as an Import Beer Specialist. Justin is currently the Owner/CEO of River City Medical, an Exactech Distributor of orthopedic implant devices, related surgical instrumentation and biologic services to hospitals and physicians in the United States and internationally. Justin currently resides in Greensburg, PA.
