What our students want you to know...

"Consider the possible consequences of drinking, such as acquaintance rape, pregnancy, STD's, alcohol poisoning, academic suspension."

"If you think you're broke now, wait until you see your fines." For example:

Attorney Fees.................................................. $300 - 500

Ambulance .................................................................. $525

Hospital ER...................................................................$200

Fine plus court costs.....................................................$250

Costs related to loss of license...................................$300

Total..................................................................$1575 - 2075

"You might be able to afford the costs and fines associated with alcohol violations, but could you live with knowing you killed someone because of your driving drunk? One night of 'fun' can ruin your future. Is it really worth it?"

"I have enough trouble getting through college sober!"

"Real friends like you for who you are. Alcohol won't impress them."

"It's best to be honest. Drinking happens on all college campuses. However, students must realize that alcohol consumption is a personal choice."

"Do not let peers push you into drinking."

"There are always other things to do on campus. Alcohol does not need to be included in activities to have fun."

"Your parents trust you to be responsible about alcohol issues. Will you disappoint them?"

"If you're smart enough to get into college, you're smart enough to know the consequences of your actions."

"Your career plans may be in jeopardy if you are cited for an alcohol violation."

"Drinking isn't the answer to boredom."

"Alcohol won't make your problems go away. They will still be there the next morning along with a hangover."

"Drinking is just an escape. Where's the pride in that?"
