The Environmental Studies major consists of two core courses (Introduction to Environmental Studies and Senior Seminar), an internship, seven courses in environmental policy, eight courses in environmental science and two methodology courses. See the advising form under Degree Requirements for a listing of course options in each of these categories.
The Environmental Studies major allows for considerable flexibility in course selection, in order to accommodate different career paths and interests. Environmental Studies majors meet individually with their faculty advisors one or more times every term to review their programs of study.
Most Environmental Studies majors complete a minor or a second major in one or more areas of interest, most commonly geography, biology and geology.
