Systems/Programmer I - As part of Information Systems, this individual has responsibilities in several overlapping functions within the unit. Both technical and customer support skills are needed in support of ID Center operations, running ID Center software applications, providing faculty, staff, students and the general public with ID Center services. In addition, in support of what is locally referred to as production operations', the incumbent runs a variety of software applications to produce information that is used by offices campus-wide
Minimum knowledge/education/experience - Associate Degree - Associate degree in a field extensively utilizing computer applications, data processing or information systems. Professional Development - Subsequent post-degree professional development that maintains technical proficiency and currency is essential. Two years pertinent full-time work experience in an information systems intensive environment utilizing the following (technical proficiency beyond the introductory level is essential):
Windows Operating Systems ▪ Microsoft Windows XP Windows-based Software Applications ▪ Microsoft Office XP (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ▪ Microsoft Access ▪ use of email as a communication tool Hardware ▪ PC (Win-tel) hardware ▪ workgroup laser printers Customer Service - experience in a customer service environment ▪ strong emphasis on quality customer service ▪ experience in stressful situations involving a variety of customer personality types
Salary Range - $1349 - $2022 per month plus full University Benefits.
