Hot dogs, popcorn, Cracker Jacks, and American’s favorite pastime—baseball. The Greater Johnstown community is invited to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown’s Picnic at the Point. Join faculty, staff, students and alumni as the Mountain Cat baseball team takes on Seton Hill University in a double header at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 20 at Johnstown’s Point Stadium.
Admission to the game and picnic is free. The event is being held in partnership with the City of Johnstown.
“The Johnstown community has helped to build and sustain us during our 80 years. We are very grateful for this support, and this free Picnic at the Point is our way of saying thank you to our community’s fine citizens. We plan to continue this new tradition again with our annual Picnic in Central Park this September,” said UPJ President Dr. Jem Spectar.
Head Coach Todd Williams’ Mountain Cat baseball team is currently ranked #9 with 18 points in this week’s National Collegiate Baseball Writer’s of America North Atlantic Poll. The Mountain Cats are 26-15-1.
