2004-2005 Overview
Matt won the championship at the East Regional Tournament and advanced to the National Tournament. This year, Matt will look to take the next step and join the ranks of the Mountain Cat All-Americans. “The Rock” is not only a solid person on the mat, but off the mat as well.
Freshman Season (2000-2001)
Took a red-shirt.
Red-Shirt Freshman Season (2001-2002)
Posted an 18-8 overall record and a 1-0 dual meet record in his first season of collegiate wrestling…recorded 14 decisions, three major decisions and one fall…place 3rd at Slippery Rock Open…named Second Team NWCA All-Academic Wrestling Team.
Sophomore Season (2002-2003)
Matt finished with an 11-6 overall record and a 3-2 dual meet record with eight of his wins coming by was of decision…placed 5th at Division I dominated Oklahoma Gold Classic…had 4-2 record at Penn State Open…Second Team NWCA All-Academic Wrestling Team selection for second straight year.
Junior Season (2003-2004)
Matt joined Coach Pecora’s starting line-up and recorded a 21-16 overall record and a 10-10 dual meet record. His 17 decision victories was 4th on the team…won East Regional Championship and advanced to the National Tournament…named First Team NWCA All-Academic Wrestling Team.
High School
2000 AA State Champion at Salisbury High School… senior season record of 35-1…career record of 118-25.

Born Sept. 25, 1981…majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology…four-year letterman in wrestling and three-year letterman in soccer…three-time Academic All-State First Team selection…son of Douglas and Linda Roncolato of Allentown, Pa.
