The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is hosting the annual Symposium for Promotion of Academic and Creative Enquiry (SPACE) from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 in the Living/Learning Center on the UPJ campus. The event is open to the public.
UPJ SPACE provides a forum for undergraduate students to present their work in a variety of disciplines. Presentations of class assignments, internships, and senior projects in the form of posters or talks will allow each student the opportunity to explain his/her project and answer questions from the audience. In previous years, students have presented on subjects as diverse as creative writing, bridge design, international research, mathematical research, geographic mapping of social issues, emotions in music, and stream ecology.
The event is being sponsored by Conemaugh Health System and Phi Kappa Phi Promotion of Excellence Grant.
