2004-2005 Overview

        Mark became an All-American in his first appearance at the National Tournament with an Eighth-Place finish.  Mark has beome what the Mountain Cat wrestling program was built on…local talent succeeding on the national stage.           

Freshman Season (2000-2001)

Took a red-shirt.

 

Red-Shirt Freshman Season  (2001-2002)

        With spot starting time in his first season of wrestling, Mark posted an 11-5 overall record (3-0 dual meet record) with eight decisions, two falls and one major decision… placed 3rd at Slippery Rock Open.

 

Sophomore Season  (2002-2003)

        Mark joined the starting line-up in the second semester and finished the season with a 7-10 overall record and a 4-7 dual meet record…among his seven wins, three came by way of fall and three by major decision…placed 5th at East Regional Tournament

 

Junior Season  (2003-2004)

      Mark wrapped up his junior year with a 23-11 overall record and a 10-5 dual meet record…of his 23 wins, 16 came by way of decision…placed 3rd at the East Regional Tournament and 8th at the National Tournament…placed 3rd at the Penn State Open and 4th at the West Virginia Open

 

High School

        Senior season record of 27-3 at Cambria Heights High School…career record of 89-28…two-time Regional Qualifier…District Runner-up…36 career falls…three-time CBS All-Star…two-year team captain…two-time Keystone State Games Champion…three-time PWCA Academic All-American.

Personal

        Born on Sept. 3, 1981…majoring in Biology…four-year letterman in wrestling and two-year letterman in football…son of the late Michael Glova and Shirley Glova of Saint Benedict, Pa., and Jim and Mary Lou Livella of Johnstown, Pa.
