The Department of Communication, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning 1 September 2008.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD (must complete the degree before contract start date) Communication; concentration in organizational communication preferred; college teaching and research experience in relevant course areas; evidence of teaching effectiveness; commitment to teaching excellence; strong potential for scholarly achievement.
Responsibilities: Teaching four courses (three preparations) per semester, professional development, and service activities at the departmental, divisional and college levels. Candidate will be required to demonstrate the ability to teach Senior Capstone, Organizational Communication, Business and Professional Speaking, and Public Speaking. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop courses in area of research interest.
