The UPJ Student Union Cambria Room will be transformed to “kitchen stadium” on Monday, March 3 as Iron-Chef wannabees compete in the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown’s third annual “Iron Chef” contest. The event, which is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., is being sponsored by the UPJ Diversity Working Group, UPJ Black Action Society, the UPJ Student Life Office and Sodexho Campus Services.
The event will consist of teams of two who will be competing to create the best entrée and dessert using three “key ingredients” featuring chicken, broccoli, and bananas plus any combination of additional foods. Up to 15 teams will compete for best presentation, most creative, and UPJ Iron Chef Award. There is no fee to attend the event. Additional information is available by calling the Student Life Office at 814-269-7065.
