Comments You Should Not Make To Your Friend Who Has An Eating Disorder.

  • "You look like you have AIDS."
  • "I don't understand WHY you don't just eat..."
  • "You better stay out of the bathroom!"
  • "Why are you doing this to me?"
  • "Why are you doing this to yourself?"
  • "Would you look at what you're doing to your family and friends?"
  • "You have good things in your life, so what's your problem?"
  • "Just sit down and eat like a normal person."
  • "You've put on weight, you look great."
  • "I'll help to fatten you up."
  • "Are you keeping anything down?" or "When did you last puke?"
  • "If you think you're fat, you must think that I'm obese."
  • "Go ahead and have a drink or eat that. You'll just go and throw it up anyways, so what does it matter?"
  • "For someone with an eating disorder, you're sure pigging out today."
  • "Quit feeling sorry for yourself."
  • "I barely ate once for a week, so I know what you are going through."
