#8 Wrestlers Earn 30-4 Victory at #15 Findlay
     02/02/08...The #8-ranked Mountain Cat wrestling team made it a weekend sweep over a pair of nationally-ranked teams from Ohio with a, 30-4, victory at #15 University of Findlay (OH), Saturday night.  Pitt Johnstown won nine of the ten bouts, including a 5-2 win by heavyweight Zach Majocha (Upper Burrell, Pa.) over #4 Travis Clark.  On Friday, Pitt Johnstown, now 14-5 on the year, defeated #11 Ashland (OH) University, 23-13.
     Just like Friday's match, the Mountain Cats jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.  Pitt Johnstown opened a 13-0 lead after four bouts on a 15-4 major decision by Derrek Bosso (Pequea, Pa.) at 125 lbs. and three straight decision wins by top-ranked Brandon Reasy (133 lbs.) (New Enterprise, Pa.), #7 Shane Valko (141 lbs.) Windber, Pa.) and Ryan McIntyre (149 lbs.) (Claysburg, Pa.).
     Findlay picked-up its lone win of the night when two-time defending National Champion and #3-ranked Antonio Guerra scored a 10-2 major decision over Mazen Kholi (Allentown, Pa.) at 157 lbs.
     However, the Mountain Cats went on to win the next five matches to seal the win.  Sophomore Kyle Keane (165 lbs.) (Clearfield, Pa.) won a 14-2 major decision over Justin Shannon and #7 Albert Miles (Canonsburg, Pa.) made the score 20-4 after he defeated Jeff Halvelka, 12-6.  Three-time All-American and #2 Mike Corcetti (Export, Pa.) followed with a 7-5 win over Hiram Smith at 184 lbs., and Patrick Walsh (197 lbs.) (Leesport, Pa.) won by major decision, 12-2, over Andy Zalaiskalns.  Majocha, a senior three-time National Qualifier, wrapped up the match with his 5-2 upset over #4 Clark to set the final score at, 30-4.  
     The Mountain Cats travel to Seton Hill University on Saturday, before retuning home to host West Liberty State (WV) College on Wednesday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sports Center.
