Reasy Earns Career Win #100 as Wrestlers Roll Over Visiting Anderson 
     01/18/08...The nation's #5 and the East Region's #1-ranked Mountain Cat wrestling made a statement with an impressive, 42-3, victory over East Region #13 Anderson (S.C.) University, Friday night in the Sports Center.  In the process, two-time All-American Brandon Reasy (133 lbs.) (New Enterprise, Pa.) became the 19th Pitt Johnstown wrestler to join the 100-win club when he pinned Brad Baker at 4:25.  With the win, the Mountain Cats improved to 8-4.
    
Reasy, who joins Mike Corcetti (184 lbs.) (Export, Pa.) as the second Mountain Cat to reach the 100-career win plateau this season and the 19th overall, raised his career record to 100-37.  In 2007-08, Reasy is 22-3 overall and 11-1 in dual meets.  Of his 22 wins, eight have come by way of fall.
     Pitt Johnstown took a 4-0 lead on #3-ranked Derrek Bosso's (Pequea, Pa.), 9-0, major decision over Nick Moreira at 125 lbs.  Reasy followed with his fall, before #6 Shane Valko (Windber, Pa.) scored a 9-5 decision over Ron Lofton at 141 lbs to increase the lead to, 13-0.
    
The Mountain Cats continued their dominance.  East Region #5 Adam Whetstone (149 lbs.) (Claysburg, Pa.) won a 5-2 sudden victory over East Region #7 Nick DiCarlo, and Ryan McIntyre (Claysburg, Pa.) won by fall at 2:16 over Isaac Stoval at 157 lbs., increasing the lead to 22-0.
     Anderson notched its lone win of the night at 165 lbs.  Jared Skinner won a tight, 6-5, decision over Rob Sakmar (Johnstown, Pa.) to cut the lead to 22-3.
     However, Pitt Johnstown won the next four bouts to close out the match.  Albert Miles (174 lbs.) (Canonsburg, Pa.), ranked #4 in the country, collected an 18-3 technical fall at 6:40 over Jared Skinner.  Three-time All-American and #3 Corcetti won, 6-0, over Zach Anderson at 184 lbs, and sophomore Patrick Walsh (197 lbs.) (Leesport, Pa.) won by fall at 2:11 over Logan Watson.  Senior three-time National Qualifier Zach Majocha (Upper Burrell, Pa.) set the final score at 42-3 with a forfeit victory at heavyweight.  
     With the loss, the Trojans dropped to 3-13 on the season.
     The Mountain Cats will host national #13 and East Region #3 Gannon University on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to the East Coast Duals at the University of North Carolina-Pembroke on Next Friday and Saturday.
