2004-2005 Overview

        Howard joined the Mountain Cat wrestling elite last season by becoming a three-time All-American with a Fourth-Place finish at the National Tournament.  Howard needs to take one more step to truly leave his mark on Pitt Johnstown wrestling…that’s win a National Championship.    

Freshman Season (1999-2000)

Took a red-shirt.

 

Red-Shirt Freshman Season (2000-2001)

        Posted a 20-15 overall record and a 5-3 dual meet record in his first season of collegiate wrestling…placed 3rd at East Regional Tournament…earned All-American (8th Place) honors…placed second at the Wilkes Open and fourth at the Millersville Invitational.

 

Sophomore Season  (2002-2003)

        Following a year off and a jump from 197 lbs. to heavyweight, Howard returned to the Mountain Cat line-up and became an All-American for the second time…placed 6th at national tournament and second at East Regional Tournament…finished with a 14-3 overall record and a 10-1 dual meet record.

 

Junior Season  (2003-2004)

        Recorded a 28-10 overall record and a 14-5 dual meet record on his way to becoming a three-time All-American with a 4th Place finish at the National Tournament…East Regional Runner-up…nine falls led team and 28 wins was second on team…won championship at Wilkes Open and placed 3rd at Penn State Open.

 

High School

        Three-year letterman at Penn Trafford High School… State Place 5th…Section and County Champion, WPIAL runner-up…earned Brotherhood of Wrestling Award.

 

Personal

        Born Sept. 7, 1981…majoring in Communications… three-year letterman in track…son of Howard and Monica Bell of Irwin, Pa.
