Catholic Campus Ministry

Welcome to the Pitt-Johnstown Catholic Campus Ministry website!  We are dedicated to helping our students, faculty, staff and community of supporters connect with a variety of Catholic programs, opportunities and resources both on and off campus.  Take some time to explore the different components of our program and the exciting opportunities that we are offering to Catholics in our community!  As always, when you are on campus, please stop in and join us.  We look forward to meeting and praying with you.  Welcome!

A Prayer Before Studying for Exams

God of Wisdom, I thank you for the knowledge gained and the learning experiences of the semester.  I come to you this day and ask you to illuminate my mind and heart.  Let your Spirit be with me as I prepare for exams, guiding my studies, and giving me insight so that I can perform to the best of my ability.  Please grant me the strength to handle the pressure during these final days of the semester, the confidence to feel secure in my knowledge, and the ability to keep an appropriate perspective through it all.  Help me to keep in mind what is truly important, even as I focus my time and energy on these tests in the immediate future.  Finally, may I sense your peace in knowing that I applied myself to the challenges of this day.  Amen.

St. Thomas Aquinas, patron saint of students, and
St. Joseph of Cupertino, patron saint of test takers, pray for us!

Inspired by Christ's command to "make disciples of all nations," the Office of Catholic Campus Ministry at the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown is committed to building a Catholic community through ministry, the Liturgy, catechesis, evangelization and stewardship, so that together we may come to better know God among us.

Our Vision Statement:

We aim to significantly build our Catholic presence and participation on campus with the intention of being recognized as an integral part of university life and the Universal Church.  Through an offering of diverse programs, opportunities and relationships, we hope to establish a premiere program with the students of Pitt-Johnstown.
