Article Body
In order to more effectively promote the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, we have recently developed partnerships with a number of media firms. You were earlier alerted to these partnerships via an email from Kim Miller. These new partnerships have allowed us to expand our marketing and public relations activities, to strengthen our competitiveness, and to promote the advantages of the University of Pittsburgh.

Television viewers now have the opportunity to wake up to UPJ. Each Tuesday, "University Corner: Making a World of Difference" will air on the WJAC-TV (NBC) morning news between 6:30 and 6:45 a.m. These brief segments, which began on January 22 offer viewers valuable advice about higher education, the college selection process, and campus life. Viewers who desire more information may visit www.wjactv.com, where they will find an electronic version of each news segment and a link to the UPJ website. In addition, WJAC will feature 30-second television commercials to promote the university.

As a result of our partnership with Dame Broadcasting, radio listeners may tune in to Cool 101.7 and Power 99.1 to hear UPJ news segment summaries at 7:00 a.m. and throughout the day.

"University Corner: Making a World of Difference" will also make its way into print beginning January 28 in the Tribune-Democrat. Articles will feature selected UPJ alumni, faculty, staff, students, and interns who reinforce our impact with communities. The stories, each covering a full tabloid-size page, will appear biweekly in the Neighbors section on Mondays.

The Tribune-Democrat will also play a role in our anniversary celebration. On January 31, UPJ will begin 75 Years Young, a celebration of our history, progress, achievements, and commitment to the future. Each month for one year, the Tribune-Democrat will feature the university on one full-color page of the paper. It is not only recognition of our milestones but also an expression of our desire to serve the Johnstown area for another 75 years.
