Asst. Coach Rick Roberts

ATH07_002_AsstCoachRobertsRick     Rick Roberts joined Head Coach Todd Williams' staff as the team's pitching coach prior to the 2005 season.  
     Roberts, a graduate from Forest Hills High School in Sidman, Pa., was drafted by the Detroit Tigers out of high school.  A trade sent him to the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he spent eight seasons in professional baseball.
 In 2003, Roberts was invited to the Dodgers’ Spring Training, but a shoulder injury and two surgeries over the next two years ended his baseball playing career.
     Roberts has been instrumental in the development of the Mountain Cat pitching staff.
      In addition, he is very dedicated to area youth by running instructional baseball schools for all ages throughout the year.
     Rick and his wife Jeannine have two sons, Brody and Bryce.
