The 2001 UPJ Homecoming Queen and her court have been announced.
Stephanie L. Lohr, a senior communication major and daughter of Richard and Felicia Lohr of Hooversville, PA, sponsored by Alpha Sigma Alpha National Sorority was crowned the 2001 University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Homecoming Queen in a ceremony held Saturday, September 29.
Members of the court are seniors Alison M. Krivacek, a communication/theatre major and daughter of Phil and Marian Krivacek of Duquesne, PA, representing WUPJ-TV, first runner-up; Michelle L. Kropelak, an elementary education major and daughter of Gary and Frances Kropelak of Springdale, PA, representing the Women's Soccer Club, second runner-up; and Nicole E. Jancosko, a communication major and daughter of Kathleen Jancosko of Pittsburgh, PA, representing Delta Chi Fraternity, third runner-up.
Other contest winners are:
Student Window Painting - First Prize, Student Senate; Second Prize, UPJ Dance Ensemble; and Third Prize, WUPJ Radio.
Student Banner Winners - First Prize, UPJ Dance Ensemble; Second Prize, Newman Student Association; Third Prize, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity.
Spirit of Homecoming Award went to WUPJ Radio.
