I am very pleased to announce the following faculty promotions:

PROMOTED TO PROFESSOR

Dr. Robert W. Matson
Promoted to Professor of History.

Dr. Matson joined the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 1983. He holds the following degrees, B.A California State University at Fresno; M.A. San Diego State University; Ph.D. University of Oregon.

Dr. Patty S. Derrick
Promoted to Professor of English.

Dr. Derrick joined the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown faculty in 1989. She holds the following degrees, B.A. University of Alabama in Huntsville; M.A. & Ph.D University of South Carolina.


PROMOTED TO ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR WITH TENURE

Dr. Reinhard Heinisch
Promoted to Associate Professor of Political Science with tenure.

Dr. Heinisch joined the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown faculty in 1994. He holds the following degrees, Magister Degree University of Vienna; M.A. Virginia Tech; Ph.D. Michigan State University.

Dr. Stephen T. Kilpatrick
Promoted to Associate Professor of Biology with tenure.

Dr. Kilpatrick joined the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown faculty in 1995. He holds the following degrees, B.S. Eastern College; Ph.D. Brown University.
