Pitt-Johnstown offers four-year degree programs leading to a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in seven Secondary Education areas of concentration.
Education majors begin their program as Pre-Education majors, following a broad liberal arts curriculum as well as selected education courses. Pre-education students typically apply for admission to an Upper-Level program in the second term of their sophomore year.
Admission to Upper-Level programs of Elementary or Secondary Education is based on various criteria including GPA, appropriate pre-education course work, and recommendations from faculty.
