The Division of Humanities offers Baccalaureate degrees in Communication, English Literature, Humanities, Journalism, Theatre Arts, and Writing. Under the major in Humanities, three concentrations are available: Foreign Language and Literature; Philosophy and Literature; Thematic Cluster. Under the major in Writing, students choose one of two emphases: Creative Writing or Professional Writing.
Students may also work toward a minor (18 credits from a list of specified courses) in Art History, English Literature, Foreign Language (French or Spanish), Music, Philosophy, or Writing. Students majoring in Communication, Journalism, and Professional Writing are encouraged to serve a 3 to 12 credit internship designed to provide them field experience in the major.
