Assistant Coach Katie Rogers

ATH07_274_AC_KatieRogers     Watertown, WI native Katie Rogers, a native of Watertown, WI, assumed the duties of assistant women's basketball coach under Sasha Leverentz in August 2007. 
     Rogers plays a vital role in all aspects of the Lady Cat basketball program, including recruiting, scouting, overseeing academic progress, setting up travel plans and all other day-to-day operations.  
     The 2007-08 season marked Rogers' collegiate coaching debut after graduating from NAIA Division II Cardinal Stritch (WI) University in December of 2006.  Rogers, who played one season of basketball at Northern Michigan University, transferred and became a three-year standout at Cardinal Stritch where helped lead her team to three Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) titles and three NAIA National Tournament appearances, including a spot in the Elite Eight in 2006.  Rogers was also a NAIA All-American following the 2005-06 season and a two-time CCAC All-Conference selection in 2005 and 2006.  She holds the school record for points in a game (34 points St. Xavier (IL) University on Feb. 7, 2006) and most points in a single season (470 in 2005-06).  In addition, she wrapped up her career ranked fourth on the Cardinal Stritch All-Time Three-Point Field Goals-Made List (163 3 FG’s), ninth in both Three-Point Field Goal Percentage (35.1%) and Points Scored (1,210 points) and 10th in Field Goals-Made (454 FG’s).
     Prior to beginning her college playing career, Rogers attended Watertown High School where she excelled on the basketball, softball and volleyball teams.  Rogers scored 1,091 career points as a member of the basketball team on her way to being named the Watertown High School Female Athlete of the Year in 2002.
