NSF's Education and Special Programs
This grant category includes Research at Undergraduate Institutions (RUI), which is a terrific program. RUI is a program that is similar to the regular research grants but supports faculty members at predominantly undergraduate institutions. The application process is less complicated, with shorter narrative, and no deadlines. It is also under-utilized (less competitive?).
