History
The AAAB in 2004 decided to organize a Job Fair in order to contribute to the Pitt-Johnstown community and to assist accounting majors who are seeking employment.
The office of Career Services, Student Life, and the Pitt-Johnstown Alumni Association agreed to assist in this endeavor.
In 2004, twelve Pitt-Johnstown alumni represented their companies. For 2005, the Job Fair was expanded to include both accounting and management majors. Since 2006, there have been approximately 30 companies represented at the Job Fair. Most of the companies were represented by Pitt-Johnstown alumni although that is not a prerequisite for attending the Job Fair.
Not only do employers attend the Job Fair but also graduate programs and professional organizations attend.
There is no cost to attend the Job Fair (either for the job fair participants/employers and the students who attend) and and it is open to the public. The committee encourages students from other Universities to attend as well.
