Kyle played for Head Coach Chuck Crummie at Pittsburgh Central Catholic where he averaged 15 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots per game as a senior. Kyle helped lead his team to the Pennsylvania State AAAA Quarter Finals in 2004. In addition, he helped lead his to team to the WPIAL Section Championship over eventual State Champions Penn Hills High School. He was selected to play in the 2004 Chartiers Valley Hoops for Cure All-Star Game and the WPIAL vs. Pittsburgh City Schools All-Star Game. Kyle had a career average of 13 points and 10 rebounds per game.  He also finished with a 59.9% career field goal percentage. Kyle posted career highs of 25 points against Penn Hills High School, 18 rebounds against Erie McDowell High School and eight blocks against East Liverpool High School. Kyle was also a member of the track and field team where he helped lead Central Catholic to the 2004 WPIAL Championship. Kyle was a member of the National Honor Society and on the honor roll all four years.
