Chris played for Head Coach Doug Goff and Pitt Johnstown basketball Alumnus Jim Book at Lansdowne High School in Baltimore, MD where he led his team to the 2A championship game of the Maryland State Playoffs in 2004 and the 2A Northern Region Championship. Chris, a three-year letterman and 2004 team captain, averaged 11 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots as a senior. He was named First Team All-Division and Second Team All-County following his senior year. Chris, who turned down an offer to play at Fordham University in the Atlantic 10 Conference, graduated with honors.
