2003-04 Season

Paul followed-up a successful first year at Pitt Johnstown with a terrific season in his second year. Paul was the only Mountain Cat to start all 27 games. He led the team in scoring (14.9 ppg.), rebounding (6.0 rpg.), total rebounds (161) defensive rebounds (122), field goals made (155) and minutes per game on his way to being named First Team All-Independent. Paul, a two-time All-Independent Player of the Week selection, also shot 50.8% (155-305) from the field, 41.9% (54-129) from three-point range and 74.5% (38-51) from the free-throw line. He finished second on the team in blocked shots (20), fourth in steals (24) and fifth in assists (42). Paul led Pitt Johnstown in scoring 12 times and rebounding 12 times during the 2003-04 season. He scored in double figures 23 times, including 20 or more points in four games. Paul also had five double digit rebounding games. He posted a season-high 27 points against Indiana University (PA) on 10-12 shooting from the field and and 6-7 from three-point range on 01/31/04. In two seasons as a Mountain Cat, Paul has recorded career highs of 32 points against Bloomsburg University on 02/24/03 and 14 rebounds against Shippensburg University on 01/07/04. In just two years, Paul has scored 755 points. With 245 points, Paul will become the 14th Mountain Cat to reach the 1,000-point plateau.

2002-03 Season

Paul appeared in 26 games and made 25 starts in his first season after red-shirting the previous season due to NCAA transfer rules. He finished second on the team in scorering (13.6 ppg.), rebounding (6.1 rpg.) and three-point field goals made.. Paul shot 43.6% (134-307) from the field , 39.1% (43-110) from three-point range and 79.2% (42-53) from the free-throw line. Paul led the Mountain Cats in scoring seven times and rebounding seven times. He scored a season and career high 32 points against Bloomsburg University on 02/24/03 and grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds against Columbia Union (MD) College on 02/22/03.

At Conemaugh Township High School

Paul played for Head Coach Scott Cable at Conemaugh Township High School. Prior to enrolling at Pitt Johnstown, Paul earned a football scholarship to Southern Illinois University. During his senior year in high school, Paul averaged 32 points on his way to breaking former NFL quarterback Jeff Hostetler’s school record of over 2,300 career points. Paul finished his high school career with over 2,500 points. He also averaged 10 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game as a senior and shot 50% from the field and over 80% from the free-throw line. He was named First Team All State and First Team All Somerset County. Paul was also selected to participate in the Chupek All Star game.
Paul was named First Team Appalachian Quarterback as a senior. He threw 25 touchdown passes over his junior and senior seasons. Paul also led the baseball team to three straight District V titles as a shortstop/pitcher. He earned First Team All-Somerset County four consecutive years.
