Asst. Coach Dee Waters
Dee Waters is in her second season as the assistant cross country coach at Pitt-Johnstown. A graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, Waters was a member of the cross country, basketball, and track and field teams. Under the direction of current Bobcat mentor Jesse Skiles, Waters was a four-time All-WVIAC track and field performer. A standout jumper, she captured the WVIAC triple jump title in 2000 and both the WVIAC triple jump and long jump championships in 2003. In addition, Waters was a member of the 2000 WVIAC Champion 4 X 400 relay team. Over the course of her four seasons, the Bobcats won two WVIAC Track and Field Team Championships.
In 2001, Waters placed 15th at the WVIAC Cross Country Conference Championships, helping lead the Bobcats to the WVIAC team title. At the time, West Virginia Wesleyan’s sixth-place finish at the 2001 NCAA Division II Regional Championships was the highest finish for the women's cross country team in school history.
Following graduation, Waters returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach in 2004 and helped lead the Bobcats to both the men’s and women’s WVIAC track and field titles.
A native of Everson, Pa., Waters graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education and Health from West Virginia Wesleyan in 2003. She received her Master’s Degree in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania in 2008.
