ATH07_002_AsstCoachRobertsRick     Rick Roberts joined head coach Todd Williams' staff as the team's pitching coach prior to the 2005 season.
Roberts, a graduate of Forest Hills High School in Sidman, Pa., was drafted by the Detroit Tigers out of high school.  A trade sent him to the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he spent eight seasons in professional baseball.
In 2003, Roberts was invited to Dodgers’ Spring Training, but a shoulder injury and two surgeries over the next two years ended his playing career.
Roberts has been instrumental in the development of the Mountain Cat pitching staff.
In addition, he is dedicated to area youth by running all-ages instructional baseball schools throughout the year.
Rick and his wife, Jeannine, have two sons, Brody and Bryce.
