Pitt-Johnstown Alliance 143 Student Union Building - Ext. 7180Pitt-Johnstown Alliance is a student organization and a service to the Pitt-Johnstown community to provide education, resources, and support for the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgendered) community and their straight-allies on the Pitt-Johnstown campus. We welcome anyone and everyone at our meetings and events regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Black Action Society 141 Student Union - Ext. 1988Founded in 1968, the Black Action Society’s primary objective is to stimulate and develop the interests of all students, regardless of race. B.A.S. strives to meet the cultural, political, educational, and social needs of all students by sponsoring a number of programs and activities throughout the year. Past activities have included a new student picnic, a Soul Food Fest, dances, parties, programs in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, and the Sepia Fashion Revue.
Pitt-Johnstown College DemocratsPitt-Johnstown College Democrats works to promote political awareness on the Pitt-Johnstown campus and in the Johnstown community through volunteer activities and sponsoring political speakers and events on campus.
College RepublicansThis organization works to stimulate in young people an active interest in governmental affairs, to promote friendship and cooperation among Republicans, to increase the efficiency of popular government, to foster and perpetuate the ideals and principles of the Republican Party, and to represent Republican students at Pitt-Johnstown.
Environmental Awareness Society EAS promotes environmental awareness and understanding and organizes community-wide environmental events. EAS also has guest speakers who work in environmental fields and sponsors field trips for students and faculty.
Pittsburgh Japanese Anime Club (PJAC)The purpose of PJAC is to establish on the Pitt-Johnstown campus a means to watch anime in an open, social atmosphere. PJAC is committed to exposing and encouraging all members of Pitt-Johnstown to the arts and stories that can be found in all genres of anime. PJAC also promotes the awareness of Japanese culture through all forms of media related to anime.
